Takeo is very active in community work. For example, the day he signed with the Bills, among his first stops was visiting patients at Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo.In addition to miscellaneous community work, Takeo assists in running his 51 Ways Foundation. The foundation was founded by Takeo Spikes and Carlos Emmons, with the mission to join the fight and help support Raising Expectations. Both Takeo and Carlos wear the #51 on their jersey and they both live in Atlanta in the offseason, but the similarities do not stop there. Both have lost family members to cancer.
